Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Pel-Air Aviation is seeking a suitably qualified and motivated individual to join its NSW Air Ambulance team as a full-time Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) based in Mascot, NSW. You will also be required to perform engineering work for Rex.Reporting:This position reports to the Rex Group General Manager Engineering or designate.Position Responsibilities:To assist the Program Management Team (PMT) on the preparation for and execution of the Fixed-wing NSW Air Ambulance contractTo assist the PMT in achieving full mission capability within the contractual timeframeTo work as a LAME on various Rex Group aircraft typesCarry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on Regional Express Group aircraft and aircraft components within a maintenance teamEnsure all maintenance and repairs are carried out to a high standard, ensuring integrity and robustness of aircraft to meet operational requirementsService and clean hangar, tools and ground equipmentParticipate in aircraft recovery when necessaryObserve all standards and procedures contained within Civil Aviation Safety Authority regulations, as well as individual aircraft systems maintenance.Essential Selection Criteria:Recognised LAME qualification and willingness to work on two or more aircraft types concurrentlyAircraft Maintenance Engineering Trade Certificate/Certificate IV or small aircraft lower group licence (B1 or B2). With B300 type rating, Proline Fusion and Aeromedical experience an advantageA demonstrated ability to perform aircraft and component maintenance, modification and troubleshooting in accordance with regulatory requirements, under minimal supervision and to strict deadlines.Willingness to accept the work environment of aircraft heavy maintenance, including component repair and refurbishment maintenance.A sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and documentationWorking knowledge of WH&S proceduresA valid driver’s licenceWell-developed verbal and written communication skillsA high level of motivation with a team-focused work ethicFlexibility with working hoursMeet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card.Preferred Selection Criteria:General Aviation experience highly preferredExperience in the Aeromedical industry (King Air aircraft will be an advantage)Lower group Maintenance experienceConditions: Conditions and salary package will be discussed with the successful applicants.To apply:To submit your application, please click on the 'Apply for this job' link.Applications are accepted until close of business 26 March 2021.
