
Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME)
Pel-Air Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Regional Express (Rex), Australia's largest independent regional airline operating a fleet of more than 50 Saab 340 aircraft and 6 Boeing 737 to 60 destinations throughout New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia.
An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join the Pel-Air Engineering Department as a LAME. This position is full-time, based in Cairns.
Reporting:
This position reports to QLD Line Maintenance Supervisor or his delegate.
Position Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on Regional Express Group aircraft.
- Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- To ensure all maintenance of the Regional Express fleet is completed and certified in accordance with regulatory, manufacturers and Regional Express requirements.
- Supervision of Engineers when required.
- Supervision of third party MRO work on Rex aircraft.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Ability to work night shift, weekends & attend out port unscheduled maintenance.
- Proven ability to work in a close knit team environment whilst being able to work independently.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- A demonstrated willingness to accept responsibility.
- Hold a valid state driver’s license.
- Part 66 B1 or B2 licence.
- Ability to obtain ASIC card & ADA.
Preferred Selection Criteria:
- Line maintenance operations experience.
- SAAB 340 B1 or B2 licence highly desirable.
- Holding of other aircraft type ratings will be an added advantage (e.g. Boeing 737, etc).
